To show that the level liquid in communicating vessels in constants irrespective of the size of shape of the vessels. Comprising four glass tubes of differing shaped and cross-sectional area projecting vertically from a common horizontal tube. Mounted on a base 230x100x22mm approx., overall height 160mm.
Glass tube of 4 different shapes and size, mounted vertically above a horizontal communicating tube for liquids level demonstrations. Mounted on a Bakelite stand.
OSMOSIS APPARATUS SET
The popular thistle tube form for illustrating the principles of osmosis. Consists of a double thistle tube with a porous membrane attached to the lower end. The tube is held upright with the membrane covered end in the jar. When sugar solution is added to the top of the tube, the liquid level gradually rises. Included are a round battery jar, a 16" long glass thistle tube, membrane, tube support.
ARCHIMEDES PRINCIPLE DEVICE
Demonstrates that a body immersed in a liquid is buoyed up by a force equal to the weight of the liquid displaced. A close fitting metal cup and cylinder whose volumes are equal.
The traditional catch bucket can be used for density and specific gravity determinations, Archimedes principle, etc. Good grade aluminium construction.
